JUGOS Y VINOS ANDINOS S.A.
Jugos y Vinos Andinos S.A. (JVA) manufactures and sells concentrated grape juice and by-products. JVA is a partnership between the Japanese company Kataoka & Co. Ltd. and Grupo Peñaflor, which began business in 2007.
Grupo Peñaflor has produced concentrated grape juice in the province of San Juan since the ´60s. Throughout the years the business expanded, adding the manufacture of high quality by- products such as seed extract and natural aromas.
During the decade of the´70s, Grupo Peñaflor began to export and entered very demanding markets, such as Japan. This marked the beginning of a long and solid relationship between Grupo Peñaflor and Kataoka & Co. Ltd., the leading company marketing Argentine vinicultural products in Japan.
In 1997 Grupo Peñaflor built a factory. The use of world-class technology and the staff's personal and professional commitment resulted in the optimization of production standards and Certification of International Quality standards. The company evidenced a sustainable growth in terms of volume, quality and products variety, which contributed to Argentina becoming leader in exports of grape juice concentrates.
In 2007, Peñaflor's 30 years' business relationship with Kataoka & Co Ltd. strengthened when both companies became partners in Jugos y Vinos Andinos S.A. The agreement gave form to a long term business plan for the manufacture of premium products, based on the certainty of Argentina becoming a world supplier of concentrated grape juice and by-products.
JVA has become a world referent on account of Argentina's important role in this market, this company's leadership in South America and its international projection.
